It catalyses social change by enabling transformation of individuals at the grassroots level so they can develop an alternate vision for their future by leveraging innovation in learning & engagement.

Foster and Forge works with government schools to address learning gaps through Design Thinking and real time learning through experiential modules.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Manage the artisanal initiative – Workshops and ongoing projects with 24 artisans across 6 states.
  • Engage artisanal community, mentors and other key stakeholders in the system
  • Design, develop and implement the quarterly workshop – W-IDEA 
  • Visit artisans, clusters and engage in report writing and documentation of the craft
  • Engage with and facilitate projects with the artiisans towards the foundation brand – VOWCOLLECTIVE.
  • Maintain and analyze program data to ensure optimum efficiency in running of the program.
  • Be open to translating complex research methodologies to artisans working in the programs and facilitate innovative problem solving.

Prerequisites
  • Basic Computer Skills - MS Word, MS Excel ; Adobe Photoshop/Indesign is a plus
  • Good Communication skills, Ability to engage with artisans, mentors, corporates
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work/Design/ Other Relevant Disciplines. Masters degree is preferred.
  • Reading & Writing fluency in English & Hindi
  • Ability to travel and work independently
  • Exposure and expertise on Research Methodology & Problem Solving Techniques. Knowledge of report compilation & documentation in the field of craft.
  • Expertise with Social Work & Grassroots level engagement
  • Social innovation expertise is preferred though not compulsory
  • Awareness of craft sector and a foundation in design is preferred
  • Basic Design sensibility – Exposure to graphic design & product design
  • Openness and empathy to engage with artisans and craft clusters
  • Ability to manage data, write report and communicate with key stakeholders in the system
