The Huffington Post is a Pulitzer Prize-winning source of breaking news, features, entertainment and lifestyle content, as well as a highly engaged community for opinion and conversation. The Huffington Post has 214 million unique visitors per month (comScore, global multiplatform, January 2015). The site has almost 100,000 bloggers—ranging from politicians, students and celebrities to academics, parents and policy experts—who contribute in real time on the subjects about which they are most passionate. HuffPost is a global publication, with editions in the UK, Canada, France, Spain, Italy, Japan, Maghreb, Germany, Brazil, South Korea, Greece, India, Australia and the Arab world. 

Times Internet (TIL) is India's largest premier digital product company and the digital arm of The Times of India Group. It reaches over 160 million unique visitors and accounts for 2 billion visits and 13 billion minutes spent every month across web and mobile. It runs businesses across news, entertainment, sports, local, e-commerce, classifieds, startup investments, local partnerships, and more. Times Global Partners is a business unit developed in 2013, which partners with emerging global digital businesses to build local partnerships. These include Huffington Post, Uber, Adage India, Business Insider, Gizmodo, Lifehacker, IGN, AskMen, and more.

Role
The ideal candidate will be able to produce aggregated and original coverage of the most interesting business stories of the day. Must have a record of writing original and impactful stories. An ability to produce and visualize data-based stories and analysis is a must, so is the ability to extract and investigate company filings. Strong skills and experience in coverage of the macro economy, corporations, start-ups or markets will be a plus.

Prerequisites
The following skills are necessary:
  • The ability to write crisp, engaging and error-free headlines and copy.
  • Attention to detail.
  • An eye for stories and themes that are fun, unique and interesting.
  • An appreciation for the power and dynamics of digital media and social platforms, and the skills to exploit them (prior experience in any form of digital publishing is a plus).
  • The ability to be agile and learn new skills and different ways of doing things.
  • The ability to remain focused and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates must be willing to take a writing test. They   sometimes ask for references from past managers. The selection process involves multiple interviews.
