Background
Centre for Civil Society(CCS) advances social change through public policy. Its work in education, livelihood, and policy training promotes choice and accountability across private and public sectors. To translate policy into practice, the organization engages with policy and opinion leaders through research, pilot projects and advocacy. CCS is India’s leading liberal think tank, ranked 50 worldwide by the annual study conducted by the Think Tanks and Civil Society Program at the University of Pennsylvania.

CCS conducts research and advocates for reform ideas in the field of education and livelihood. To take reform ideas out to variety of targeted external audience, CCS is looking for a young, creative, dynamic and enthusiastic communication professional with experience in preparing powerful narratives using various mass media and technology. The candidate should be able to work in dynamic, knowledge based environment and contribute to the team.

Role & Responsibilities
  • ​Plan and execute overall communication strategy for the organisation.
  • Converting research data/information into easy to read communication material.
  • Developing powerful narrative using various tools of mass media such editorial, articles, info graphic, policy brief, presentation, content for report/website and the likes.
  • Manage the design, content, and production of IEC material for workshop and conferences.

Prerequisites
  • Post-graduate degree or equivalent in journalism, communications or public relations.
  • At least 2 years of professional working experience in media, a press office, agency or other media relations environment.
  • Master listener and attentive to the needs of the team.
  • Knowledge and experience of working in the area of education and livelihood with a think tank or similar organization is desirable.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, both in English & Hindi.
  • Graphic designing, developing template, video production.
  • Extensive knowledge of online outreach strategy through website and social media.
