Background
Karmantik is a social enterprise working towards better livelihoods of shoe making artisans founded by Apoorva Kamat (Gandhi Fellow, Young India Fellow) and Sruthi Kande (ex-Google employee, Young India Fellow) in June, 2015. 
Karmantik’s work involves identifying shoe makers across the country with limited market access and supporting their craft by rebuilding the product and initiating market linkages through marketing and branding under Karmantik.

Presently Karmantik has sold over 100 pairs of handcrafted footwear and has a collection on 10 designs in the women’s section. They are looking to involve more and more artisans with guaranteed income and designing a new product range for men and women.
Role & Responsibilities
  1. Writing & updating content on Karmantik's social media platforms
  2. Building awareness about the brand by interacting with fashion bloggers and other websites
  3. Creating & managing marketing collateral
Prerequisites
  • 2nd/3rd year undergraduate students
  • Excited individuals who have an interest in the handicraft sector and fashion industry
  • At least 6 months experience in content writing (professional/blogging/freelancer, etc.)
  • Actively present and must have a strong understanding of social media platforms
  • Excellent writing skills (should be able to write engage content and adapt content based on purpose)
  • Experience with online research
  • Good communication skills 
  • A team player
  • Basic documentation and proposal formats and writing skills
  • MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint skills
Compensation
Subjective based on experience
