Background
The Atelier is a progressive preschool inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach to learning. It was born with a vision of keeping the innate sense of curiosity and wonder alive through the childhood years. The Atelier offers learning programmes for children between 2 years to 6 years of age.The programmes and curriculum at The Atelier have been designed for experimental learning. Children learn in various ways and communicate through a multitude of languages and its effort is to help them connect the dots between them.
Roles & Responsibilites
The adults at The Atelier:
  • Have respect for children and their individual needs
  • Construct knowledge with children (and don’t just share knowledge)
  • Create environments which provide opportunities to learn
  • Understand that learning need not have boundaries 
  • Transition from the role of audience to the director to the critique to the referee of the children’s work and play 
  • Love sensory play as much as children do (imagine having your hands full of clay, paint and glue all day)​
Prerequisites
  • Bachelor/ Masters degree in any field 
  • An understanding or background in education is preferable but not mandatory
