Background

Design for Change (DFC) is a global movement that cultivates the ‘I CAN’ mindset in every child. This mindset empowers children to believe that they are not helpless, that change is possible and they can drive it.
By incorporating the human centered approach of design thinking, DFC cultivates this mindset through a simple 4-step framework of Feel Imagine Do Share (FIDS). Through this framework, children are equipped with the tools to be aware of the world around them, believe that they play a role in shaping that world, and take action toward a more desirable, sustainable future. Today, children all over the world are proving that you don't have to be rich, strong or powerful to change the world. Since its inception in 2009 in Ahmedabad, India, the DFC movement has today spread to over 40 countries impacting 2 million+ children and 60,000+ teachers. In the year 2016, the focus has been to strengthen this global movement both in the existing partner countries but also as DFC expands its footprint to other countries. |
