Background
ThinkZone is a social enterprise that provides standardized affordable education in rural India by empowering local women to operate self-sustaining learning centres through a technology-enabled “school in a box”. ThinkZone implements a comprehensive, scale-driven lean model that enables it to contain costs so that women can deliver quality early-childhood and primary education programs at less than $2.50 a month.
Role & Responsibilities
The selected intern(s) will work on the following during the internship: 
1. Designing existing material including schemes of work, lesson plans, activity cards and posters in ready-to-use design templates
2. Assessing effectiveness of learning / play materials, and revise / iterate as needed
3. Envisioning, discovering and creating fun, engaging and innovative learning aids for the effective delivery of the curriculum i.e. structuring the existing easy-to-use classroom curriculum materials and resources
Prerequisites
  • Skill(s) required: MS-Office, Adobe Photoshop, CorelDRAW and Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Indesign.
  • Degree(s): Applicants pursuing any degree but with relevant skills and interest may apply.
  • Year of degree completion: Applicants currently in any year of study or recent graduates but having relevant skills and interest may apply.
  • Only applicants who are available for a minimum duration of 1 month(s) can apply.
  • Applicants should be available to start the internship immediately (and no later than 3 Sep'16 ).
  • Anyone can apply regardless educational background. You will definitely be a great fit if you have all of the below:
    • Designing skills (Adobe, Corel, Canva or any other graphic designing tools)
    • Good creativity and analytical skills
    • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
    • Ability to think outside the box
    • Disciplined and comfortable working with tight deadlines
    • Decent know-how about the problems facing the education system
    • Self-starter and willingness to work in a startup environment
