Background
Rekhta Foundation is an organization committed to  promoting and disseminating Urdu literature, especially Urdu Poetry to an audience beyond those conversant with the Urdu script.

The Rekhta Foundation will be organising the third annual edition of the Jashn-e-Rekhta festival (17 - 19 Feb 2017). The festival celebrates the spirit and eloquence of Urdu language, literature, art, and culture. The last two years of Jashn-e-Rekhta have witnessed participation from doyens of Urdu literature and prominent names from the film, music and TV fraternity such as Zia Mohyeddin, Gulzar, Gopi Chand Narang, Shamim Hanfi, Javed Akhtar, Shabana Azmi,Irrfan Khan, Imtiaz Ali and Nandita Das amongst others. The Jashn in 2017 is expected to get over 1.25 Lac visitors. 
Role & Responsibilities
The team is looking for Graphic Designers to come on-board in preparation of its flagship festival, Jashn-e-Rekhta 2017 at the Indira Gandhi National Centre for Arts.  The intern will be required to assist the creative team in designing engaging content on for its social media campaign.
Prerequisites
  • The intern should be passionate about art and be able to work in a dynamic environment.
  • He/she must be able to work within deadlines and be self-motivated. 
  • He/she must have thorough knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and CorelDRAW. 
  • A love for Urdu poetry will be an added bonus.
