Background
The Shikshantar un/Learning Resource Center is an intergenerational community learning space for self-designed learners, homeschoolers, unschoolers, dropouts, walkouts, gap year students, families, etc.  The Resource Center supports experimentation in self-designed learning, unlearning, gift culture, traditional knowledge, sustainable living and social entrepreneurship.
Roles & Responsibilities
The Local Program Coordinator/Curator of un/Learning Activities will be responsible for:
  • Co-creating, plan and facilitate daily creative activities, workshops, projects and expeditions with children and youth
  • Support and coach children and youth on developing their self-designed learning plans
  • Interact with and coordinate resource persons and volunteers
  • Supporting and partnering with different localization initiatives and partners in Udaipur as a Learning City
  • Exploring and developing your own passions, gifts and new skills
Prerequisites
Shikshantar is looking for someone who:
  • Believes in the power of self-designed learning and wants to deepen one's vision of self-designed learning
  • Enjoys spending time daily with children and youth
  • Has good listening skills and coaching skills
  • Has good communication, teamwork and networking skills
  • Likes learning new skills in areas such as art, music, dance, farming, cooking, theatre/clowning, filmmaking, etc. and exploring areas of sustainable living and community living
  • Is fluent in Hindi
  • Can work in a flexible, evolving, sometime chaotic environment
Compensation & Benefits
