Background
Centre for Civil Society(CCS) advances social change through public policy. Its work in education, livelihood, and policy training promotes choice and accountability across private and public sectors. To translate policy into practice, the organization engages with policy and opinion leaders through research, pilot projects and advocacy. CCS is India’s leading liberal think tank, ranked 50 worldwide by the annual study conducted by the Think Tanks and Civil Society Program at the University of Pennsylvania. 

Role & Responsibilities
  • Take the lead in managing research projects, from scoping through to completion, including managing and developing partnerships
  • Work with Head, Research to develop new research projects in collaboration with reputed organizations
  • Manage a small team of Research Associates, Research Interns and external researchers
  • Contribute to the development and profile of the organization's research expertise with external stakeholders and key policy influencers;
  • Design and execute research dissemination strategy which includes identification of platforms for publication and presentation of research
  • Create and disseminate insightful research briefs, infographics, presentations using data generated through ongoing research
  • Create database of academic and policy journals and work with select few of them for publication of CCS research
  • Lead design and execution of research workshops, seminars with various stakeholders

Prerequisites
  • Masters Degree in Public Policy, Education, Development Studies
  • Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
  • 2-3 years of experience of designing, executing research
  • Understanding of public policy research and advocacy
  • Hands-on knowledge of project management and operations
  • Basic familiarity with liberal philosophy
