Background
Idiog Consultancy Services is an emerging knowledge and media consultancy firm. Its ongoing projects include Station (Thought Leadership Summit), Smanvay (Development Research and CSR wing), Urbania (Urban Policy Lab) and Pragya Balika Fellowship (Gender Action Research Fellowship).  They as a team believe in providing quality services and have maintained a fine balance of inclusive approach across all their ongoing projects. The theme of all their projects are a mix of action research along with the implementation of proven models. Their aim is to promote and implement models that are backed by rigorous research while also engaging their stakeholders in a healthy dialogue to create an informed discourse.

Roles & Responsibilites
The intern will work on Idiog's Pragya Balika Fellowship Project and will engage in the following
  • Creating directory of stakeholders operating in the field of education and gender.
  • Meeting with stakeholders along with the Idiog team. 
  • Outlining strategy for fund-raising .
  • Outreach and execution of fundraising. 
  • Connecting with innovators either from grassroots or from academia to build a solid network of mentors for the fellows.

The ongoing Pragya Balika Fellowship provides an opportunity to young education enthusiasts who want to make primary education more inclusive and sensitive towards female students. It aims to facilitate inclusive learning with tangible outcomes in terms of policy briefs and models that reflect & ensure a gender friendly school environment, learning outcomes and primary education gendered policy interventions over the period of one year. The fellows play a dual role, first as an education facilitator and second as a policy researcher based on a yearlong field interaction with the stakeholders. Throughout the duration of this fellowship, the fellows are assigned a research mentor, who guide, direct and regulate their role and the outcomes that they produce as a fellow. The fellows work on the primary principle of creating sustainable, creative and engaging models that promote gender sensitivity and inclusion at the level of primary education. 

The objectives of the fellowship are:
  • To create a gender friendly academic environment, infrastructures, curriculum, and to bring equality in gender representation.
  • To develop an inclusive learning approach keeping the students, the parents, and the school in mind.
  • To nurture a new generation of edu-preneurs who can tackle problems faced by the present primary education system. 
  • To produce gender centred primary education policy that can solve existing problems.

Prerequisites
Idiog is looking for a candidate who:
  • Has a deep interest in Gender Education and has an understanding of gender gap.  
  • Has familiarity with school curriculum and existing gender inclusion initiatives.
  • Has an understanding of child psychology, leadership, life skills and gender participation index.
  • Has excellent writing skills and is open for meetings with stakeholders.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Traveling allowance would be provided.
  • Certificate of experience and recommendation letter will be given after successful completion of the project.
  • Candidates will get the experience of nurturing a project from its inception.
  • Candidates will get the opportunity to be organisation representatives in leading events in Delhi NCR.
