Role & Responsibilities
  • Assisting the photo editor with researching and sourcing photos for all stories that appear in The Caravan, its supplements, and on the web exclusives section, Vantage.
  • Coordinating with photo departments/archives in newsrooms across the country to source photographs.
  • Working with the photo interns and other editorial staff at Delhi Press to organise, caption and publish photos from the Delhi Press archives.
  • Creating and updating databases of photographers and photo sources.
  • Coordinating with the editorial and administrative staff to process payments to photographers and photo agencies.
  • Various other office tasks.
Prerequisites
  • 0-2 years of research experience, with interest in photographs and other visual materials.
  • Skilled at researching images on the web.
  • Efficiency, commitment to high-quality work, ability to find and cultivate sources, and a good understanding of copyright.
