The Prabha Dutt Fellowship is offered by Sanskriti Foundation. The objective of Sanskriti Foundation is to cultivate an environment for the preservation and development of the artistic and cultural expressions of India but of the world as a whole.
Established in 1978, Sanskriti Foundation is a registered Public Charitable Trust based in New Delhi, India. Sanskriti perceives its role as that of a catalyst, in revitalizing cultural sensitivity in contemporary times. Role & Responsibilities
|
The purpose of the Prabha Dutt Fellowship in Journalism is to encourage young mid career women journalists to develop their potential by pursuing meaningful projects without having to work under the pressures of short deadlines. The Fellowship encourages young women to investigate and research on any topic of contemporary relevance, they may work on a book or monograph for subsequent publication within the given time frame. The work can be executed in Hindi, English or any Regional Language.
The applicant will have to sign an agreement with Sanskriti Pratishthan pertaining to a regular flow of work during the Fellowship period. The candidate should not be holding another Fellowship or working on any other project at the same time. A progress report will be required after the first four months of the fellowship. |

Compensation
|
A grant of Rs. 1,00,000 will be given in two phases; the first instalment at the commencement of the award and the second after submission of the completed project.

Applications are accepted round the year for the next year's fellowship.
