Background
Started in 1988 with a magazine for children from the under-served communities, Katha’s work spans the literacy to literature continuum. By seamlessly connecting grassroots work in education and urban resurgence, Katha brings children living in poverty into reading and quality education. 
Roles & Responsibilities
  •  Interact and mobilise Katha volunteers
  •  Coordinate for the placement of volunteers in various Katha schools and centres in Delhi
  •  Manage relationships with partner organisations
  •  Manage and implement the communication plan for the Volunteers programme 
Prerequisites
  • Graduation/Post Graduation qualification
  • Minimum 1-3 years of post-qualification experience in social action community mobilisation,
  • education and volunteering.
  • People skills and the desire and ability to engage with them
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Desire to make a change in children’s education
  • Networking skills and ability to efficiently plan with frugal resources
