Background
Centre for Civil Society is a public policy think tank advancing personal, social, economic and political freedoms. It aims to usher in an intellectual revolution that encourages people to look beyond the obvious, think beyond good intentions and act beyond activism.

Mission:
It seeks to promote choice, competition and community based policy reforms. Through research,advocacy and outreach, the Centre is reinvigorating civil society and rightsizing political society.

Work:
Through evidence-based research, stakeholder engagement, and outreach to current and future leaders, the think tank advocates for effective public policy reform. Focus areas are:
  • Increasing access to affordable quality education
  • Ensuring livelihood freedom for the enterprising poor​

Role & Responsibilities
  • Build strategic partnerships with the community, Service Providers, School Owners and School Association Leaders for effective delivery of the pilot
  • Design comprehensive implementation strategy
  • Engage with all key stakeholders such as parents, school leaders, service providers and education department (if needed) to ensure seamless on-ground operations
  • Develop and implement monitoring tools for field operations and service providers
  • Coordinate with the research team to ensure regular data inflow
  • Study best practices, bring experiences from other school transformation programs to enhance the impact of pilot program
  • Document pilot progress on an ongoing basis of internal learning, donor reports and wider dissemination
  • Drive school leaders and community to invest in quality improvement in the long run​

Prerequisites
  • A passion and strong understanding of the education landscape, prior experience of working with Budget Private Schools is a strong plus
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in school quality improvement (teacher training, school leadership training, assessments, community mobilization)
  • Excellent program management skills with an eye for detail, relationship building with continuous encouragement
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to motivate school leaders, teachers and parents
