Pravah is an organisation based in New Delhi, India that works with young people to create an impact on issues of social justice through youth citizenship action. It works with adolescents, youth and diverse groups like youth organisations and institutions working directly with young people.

Roles & Responsibilities
|
As a SMILE Volunteer, you would be a part of a 3-6 weeks rural internship program where you will be able to work with rural organisations/movements in different parts of the country working on diverse issues such as, education, child rights, tribal rights, women rights, gender based violence etc. The internship gives you an opportunity to understand these issues in depth through interactions with experts and also having a hands on experiential understanding of the communities and issues.
You will get a chance to travel by yourself on a journey from self to society while working on the issues one feels passionate about and in that process build diverse relationships and create new identities for themselves! |
Prerequisites

Pravah would like to know an applicants basic details, besides trying to understand why an applicant has opted for the programme.
There will be a Face-to-Face Interaction. The face-to-face conversation at their office will revolve around the programme details, aligning your expectations with the programmatic objectives, and clarifying any doubts/ fears you may have. Pravah will identify and assess a candidate's learning and preferences for the candidate's rural placement.
