Background
|
Lack of awareness and access to opportunity is failing India’s rural college graduates to realize their potential. The flawed education system coupled with lack of exposure relegates rural graduates to a miniscule set of opportunities, as against the vast ocean that is available to their urban counterparts. Rural and urban graduates are equally blessed in terms of intelligence. It is remote geography, lack of pedagogical resources, cultural abstinence and challenging infrastructure that create a massive rift. The absence of thoughtful guidance and an ambiance that supports the courage to pursue a passion further complicate rural graduates’ important life choices.
Bodhi Tree Skills (BTS) wants to create a level playing field for rural college graduates by removing these barriers to enable them to compete with their urban counterparts. The Foundation's aim is to make graduates aware of the opportunities, to give courage to pursue their passion, to guide them to reach their potentials and to help them to live an empowered life. |
