Why Indian Men Rape is a multimedia gender journalism and activism project that spans two books, a documentary and an active online presence, over several years. With it, the project's creator Tara* Kaushal and her research team would like to thoroughly explore the gamut of unique ethnological reasons—social, cultural, traditional, legal, economic, geographic, religious, psychological, etc—that cause sexual violence in the subcontinent.

Roles & Responsibilities
|
At Why Indian Men Rape, Tara* Kaushal has been travelling the country interviewing men who have raped, in order to learn their psychology and motivations. The Hindi audio of these fascinating interviews must now be translated into English text.

Prerequisites
|
Are you an undergrad or fresh graduate?
Are you as fluent in English as you are in Hindi? Are you passionate about masculinity and culture studies? Requirements
The job is full-time for two months and based off a laptop. The office is in Juhu, Mumbai, so applicants from the city would be preferred. Also, you must love pets, as you’ll have canine and feline colleagues! |
