Background
Project Potential is creating an ecosystem of entrepreneurship and innovation to solve the youth unemployment crisis in rural India. The project plans to incubate 10,000 entrepreneurs across rural India in the next 5 years.  

Currently, it is creating a first-of-its-kind rural incubator on its 15-acre green and sustainable campus. The campus is called eArthshala from the English ‘earth’ and Hindi ‘arth,’ or ‘meaning’ and ‘economy.’ In other words, it is a space for regenerating India's environment, economy, and existence.

Roles & Responsibilities
The Marketing & Communications Director will work on the project's business model and on aligning the project's mission with identity and positioning. Also she/he would engage in social and digital media, outreach, fundraising and research. The specific responsibilities that Project Potential expects from the Director are :
  • Creating a standard branding identity and language for Project Potential
  • Establishing Project Potential’s uniqueness
  • Establishing Project Potential’s brand digitally
  • Ensuring that the team has the language, materials, and systems required to communicate with all stakeholders
  • Managing donor communications and reporting
  • Thinking through the project's overall business model, including its potential for revenue generation
  • Conducting market research and finding new ideas for the team to pursue that fits in with the project's brand and strategic objectives
  • Anticipating future trends and helping the team align its strategies accordingly


Prerequisites
Project Potential is looking for a candidate who:
  • Has experience in design, storytelling and communications.
  • Has the ability to see and anticipate future trends.
  • Is data-oriented.
  • Has the ability to collaborate with those outside the marketing function.
  • Has a deep understanding of digital marketing and strategy.
  • Has the ability to think strategically and follows through to achieve objectives.
  • Has minimum 5 years work experience in marketing/branding.
  • Believes in human potential and in developing an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Has a growth mindset to deal with failure and to continue experimenting and learning
  • Has flexibility and resilience in dealing with the unexpected
  • Is willing to live in a rural area
  • Believes in building a culture of teamwork and team learning to support one another
  • Is fluent in Hindi and English

Compensation & Benefits
INR 6,00,000 - 7,00,000 per annum
